Shah Alam is Selangor's state capital, and unlike many of the Klang Valley's dormitory townships it has its own genuine city centre — a Golden Triangle anchored by SACC Mall, Plaza Alam Sentral and the state government precinct, now served directly by the LRT Putrajaya Line's western extension into Section 14. The city sits at the junction of nine highways, including the Federal Highway, KESAS, NKVE, ELITE, GCE and DASH, giving it connectivity most Selangor townships can't match.
For buyers, Shah Alam offers city-centre convenience at pricing well below equivalent KL addresses, backed by an established base of government offices, UiTM and a long-running retail and F&B scene rather than a masterplan still being built out. A unit built directly onto an LRT station here is a rarer thing than it sounds — most Klang Valley "near MRT/LRT" claims mean a 10-15 minute walk or a feeder bus.
